Antique Oak Plank Top Rustic Refectory Table

Here we have a wonderful rustic Antique Refectory/serving table, the top consists of three chunky solid antique oak planks which are very old and date back to around the 1700's or maybe even earlier; the base is later, dating to around the mid-1800s.
This beautiful antique plank top is wonderfully harmonized by the roundness of the legs, the planks have exceptional wood grain, figuring and rich, warm hues of browns along with its orginal patina which can only be achieved by care, age and polish.
In typical Tuscan fashion, the rustic farmhouse table is long and narrow, featuring a very clever construction that allows the plank top to be removed from the base for ease of transportation
The beautiful antique plank top is rich in character and history, over a beautiful hand carved frieze base, also having a frieze carved long drawer to the front, upon substantial bulbous bold gun barrel turned legs, united by a end strecther.
This versatile antique refectory table can be used as a dining/kitchen table and in this case could seat around 10 people or simply as hall/ serving table; it would also look great as a huge console table! The multifunctional, medieval-style antique table is brimming with rustic charm and commands attention, making a fabulous statement piece in any room.
Condition: This antique table is solid, chunky, and structurally sound, has been cleaned and polished, and is ready to use for years to come. It is a great investment table! Underneath the plank top (which is not visible; you have to go underneath to see) has very minor extinct woodworm, which you expect from planks so old , which we have treated this with woodworm treatment as a precaution.
