Here we have a heavy English oak antique dining table dating back to the late 1870. The Victorians revived characteristics of the Jacobean period within oak furniture; this table is a fine example. The thick, solid gadoon oak top opens via Joseph Fitter runners and a winder to incorporate two leaves, which could generously seat around 10-12 once fully extended. Comes with its antique winder handle. The stunning bulbous cup and cover turned legs are profusely carved, retaining their original working casters.
Condition: This fine antique table is in excellent condition, and a fine example of the Jacobean revival period, very solid and structurally sound. The leg retains its original finish, and the top has been sanded, cleaned, and waxed, ready for everyday family use.
It is antique, so it may have the odd cosmetic scuff on the legs. See all pictures for condition.
Cleaned and waxed, ready for intentional use
