An unisually larger for its type, distressed Painted, grey/blue pine clerk’s desk hailing from mid-Victorian England, having elegant ring turned slender legs to two frieze drawers with recessed brass pull handles under a hinged sloping writing surface with galleried back untouched from its heavy use throughout the decades, the carcass with good patina to the original painted surfaces having been used in an educational or place of work setting.
Ideal as a prop or as a display table in a shop.
This piece remains in a good, untouched, original state and has been simply cleaned to preserve its original finish, enhancing its character and charm. The original finish is worn in some areas, as photographed, at the areas of heaviest use, as are the table edges; though this is, of course, all desirable and expected, it is all in the right places. The sloping lid is sturdy, and the original handles remain; however, one handle is missing a minor part - see the last picture.

Note: The sloping top does not open; however, the two drawers below create adequate storage space
Condition: In good antique condition, structurally solid and sturdy. The finish is original, cleaned, and untouched.
The original handles remain; however, one handle is missing a minor part - see the last picture.
Signs of extinct woodworm, which has been treated for precaution.

The desk has been cleaned and is ready to be enjoyed.
