Despite its impressive proportions, the cupboard separates into two sections, with the upper section cabinet lifting away from the base. This makes transport and installation much easier. This makes moving and positioning the elaborate piece far more practical than its overall size might suggest. <br> <br> The upper cabinet features a pair of beautiful original leaded stained glass doors opening to a spacious shelved interior, supported by elegant turned columns above a generous serving shelf. The lower section offers further enclosed storage behind two deeply moulded geometric panel doors together with a useful full-width drawer.<br> <br> The cupboard is richly decorated with high-relief, elaborately hand-carved lion heads grasping brass rings, flanking caryatids, atlantes, with intricate detailed carvings throughout, all enhanced by a wonderful deep chocolate oak colour and aged patina developed over many years.<br> <br> This is an exceptionally decorative and practical antique offering excellent storage while serving as a genuine focal point within a room.<br> <br> Condition<br> <br> Presented in good antique condition with age-related wear, marks and character consistent with its age. The stained glass appears original, and the cupboard retains its impressive carved decoration and excellent colour.
