Circa 1870

Provenance: England

Here we have an exceptional, carved oak large livery cupboard from the mid-19th century, featuring intricately carved panelled doors and drawers. The carved doors open smoothly to reveal a vast amount of storage, complete with a hanging rail and brass coat hooks, Ideal for hanging your coats. The base of the livery cupboard features a carved long drawer, providing additional storage, with two faux-carved drawers above.

This antique cupboard still retains its beautiful, ornate teardrop brass handles, along with its original working key that locks both the cupboard and the lower drawer. Solid English Oak construction with a wonderful dark chocolate brown colour and aged patina.

Condition: In good antique condition throughout, with some signs of age. There is surface wear, including age-related marks and scratches, adding to its character and authentic antique appeal.

The long, hanging rail across the livery cupboard could do with being replaced - see the pictures for reference.
