Fine Quality Antique Chaise Longue - Fern Green Velvet - Circa 1830

Here we have a fine Antique Chaise longue, the chaise has a solid mahogany, typical IV William carved-shaped backrest, with a scroll armrest to the left-hand side, the mahogany frame has a beautiful patina with rich flamed brown hues, that can only be achieved by age, care, and polish. The seating has a large cushion that is detachable and firm to sit on, upholstered in stunning fern green velvet, complete with a large, matching bolster cushion. The chaise terminates upon bulbous turned legs with the original brass castors intact and still working.

Would look impressive in a lounge or bedroom

Condition: Sturdy and structurally sound condition, there are signs of wear and tear with cosmetic scratches and knocks as you would expect with any antique piece, which all adds to the wonderful character and charm of this historical chaise

The Fern green upholstery is in great condition, the velvet looks like it previously had brown buttons on, but most have now come away - see the last picture, showing half of the button.
