The front of the cupboard is decoratively carved, the top of the cupboard has a stunning old plank top and a decorative carved chipped edging, which was a common feature on furniture in the 1600's The sides are panelled. This historical piece coems with the orgianal lock and key
This old cupboard dates back to the late 1600s -1700s and has a beautiful old aged patina and wonderful caramel hues throughout.
There is a handwritten label on the inside of the interior that remains here. Which is very fascinating to see, especially one that dates back to the late 1600s - 1700s.
Condition: The cupboard is structurally sound and solid. There are old splits to the oak and old historical marks here and there that give this piece its original authenticity and abundance of character and charm. This is evidence of a small amount of extinct wood worm which has now been treated as a precaution
