This is a fine quality antique English set of four George III Regency chairs, constructed of solid rosewood , circa 1800. These sturdy antique Regency chairs are designed with an attractive curved, inlaid back rest, supported with a beautiful barley twisted centre back-rail The seats are upholstered in a stunning burgundy brush cotton. designed The seat frame is raised on fine turned front legs, with sabre legs to the rear, united by a H stretcher. The rosewood frames retain the original polish and wax; therefore, boast a wonderful rich golden brown colour with a striking original patination.

Condition: These Regency chairs are extremely well made in rosewood, weighty and structurally solid in joint, which is a sign of high-quality chairs.

Nominal old use marks on the frame, but nothing significant considering their age. The upholstery has been cleaned and frames have been polished, ready for intentional use.
