Large Hand-carved Old Original Diamond Coffer

Dimensions Width 144 cm x Height 71 cm x Depth 57 cm

This very beautiful old coffer dates back to around 1680 circa.

Intricate hand carvings to the front on four panels of diamonds, with center flowers, and foliage.

Warm brown hues throughout with a lovely gloss and patina to the oak that you only can get with age and wear.

Condition : Wonderful grain to the oak with one split to the oak top panel and gapping to one of the top panels, as well as the legs slightly worn (shorter) back legs. - See pictures. Structurally sound and solid but has cosmetic wear and tear; and dents which I love and just add to the character of this historical coffer - Please see pictures for cometic wear and tear.
