You don't see coffers like this often, a rare and large, heavy, and very striking COFFER, beautifully crafted from English Oak with a heavy solid, original hinged lid, hinges, and original Key, it's rare to find an antique coffer from the 1700's that still as the original key and Lock! This stunning coffer has very intricate carvings throughout with twin masks on either side and foliate panels, standing proud on large carved and very detailed paw feet to the front. Circa 1700's.
Condition: Very solid and structurally sound. Signs and wear and tear as you expect with a piece dating back to the 1700's.
Cleaned and waxed ready for to use for storage or simply as a beautiful statement piece in your home.
