This rare antique lady of the house, work table is in exceptional condition and is a superior example of a Lady's work table -one of Harrod's fine antiques! Purchased from Harrods, back in 1992 with receipts to show.
This stunning Victorian work table has been beautifully crafted from English burr walnut with striking figures and grain with delightful warm caramel hues throughout. This work/ sewing table dates back to the late Victorian period, circa 1850.
The lid lifts to reveal a very beautiful, decorative marquetry, with red velvet enclosures and pockets of storage which would be great for storing smaller precious items
Receipts from Harrods dating back to 1992 are enclosed from the previous buyer at Hedge box Hall, Little Budworth Cheshire.
No doubt this table would have cost a lot more in Harrods back in 1992!
