This stunning grand, George III revival, Gainsborough Armchair is a very large and extremely heavy chair, which is a very large and heavily carved statement chair, this would command attention wherever it goes for sure!
Hand painted in bone/grey finish which is intentionally very distressed and rubbed in areas.
Beautifully upholstered in a grey and pale ivory/ white thick fabric, finished with chrome upholstery studs.
Gorgeous commanding Gainsborough armchair with large swept, foliage carved arms upon prominent clawed ornate feet on a cross stretcher, intricately carved throughout this hardwood frame.
Condition: slight wear/shadow on the seat area on the fabric but nothing noticeable and apart from that fabric is in excellent condition. Small chips on some of the feet. See pictures.
Structurally sound, solid, and very heavy!
