Here we have a very heavy antique English Oak four-panel coffer, dating back to 1700's, this is a very old coffer, the chest has four deep moulded panels on the front with a very heavy plank top, standing upon short stile solid legs, one of the legs has the decorative corner piece missing on the front which does not have any importance structurally, just decorative purposes.

As you would expect this is a very old coffer and there are shrinkage splits on the top of the coffer, with a few knocks, scratches but all part of the unique character of this coffer, such a wonderful part of history which is still standing and structurally solid and sound.
