Here we have a fine quality George III provincial oak bureau, with a fall front sloping top opening to reveal a fitted interior with a configuration of drawers, pigeonholes, and secret compartments over four long graduating drawers, each having an elegant marquetry inlaid border, with dovetailed drawers and the original beautiful brassware, standing proud upon sturdy Ogee bracket feet.

This handsome Georgian desk is extremely heavy and comes with the working key intact.

This stunning bureau retains the original polish, with a beautiful grain and patination; that can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

condition: There are historic cosmetic scratches marks,and shrinkage splits as is to be expected for an item of this age, (please see pictures) however these only add to its appeal as a very functional original antique bureau.
