This stunning Windsor Wheel back chair is one of the finest examples I've come across. Very classical in design with its turned upright supports and four turned splayed legs with an H stretcher along with a beautifully shaped figured seat, the arms have a delightful twisted honeycomb spindle which is unique to a Windsor, all hand-carved from yew which has the most wonderful, aged warm, rich patina and the most beautiful grain on the yew which gives a unique appearance and sets this Windsor chair apart from the rest.

Beautiful English, yet intricate-looking chair that has a solid yew frame with tight joints, and is sound structurally. This chair has been well made to withstand the vigours of daily family life and is very comfortable to sit around on, would look great in a country kitchen and particularly gives the appearance of that cosy, rustic farmhouse look.
