A beautiful rare antique Georgian oak crossbanded chest with reeded quarter column embellishments flanking along the side and a band of pierced carvings on the top frontage. The chest is great for storage with two short and three long graduated drawers with hand-cut dovetail joints, the drawers are beautifully decorated with gilt ornate brass pierced escutcheons and handles, standing proud upon bracket feet.

Thus historical and very pretty chest has a beautiful grain and hue, with a stunning patina you on only get with age and use. It is an extremely heavy, quality chest.

Condition: Excellent condition for its time.has a little cosmetic wear and tear and a bit of boxwood inlay missing on the top which adds character see last pictures but overall a high-quality substantial chest.
